The Ryder cup this year is closing in on as it will be played in the month of September. This is one of the biggest tours for the golfers of US and Europe. Recently golfer’s team who will be representing US was released and Tom Watson was designated as the captain of that team. Currently top 6 players were named and 3 spots are still up for grab for the Ryder cup. The captain of the team announced that the last 3 names will be declared on 2nd September. This will be just after the current ongoing PGA tour.
This is a big opportunity for some of the US players taking part in the US team for Ryder’s team. Phil Mickelson is one of the best known players for the place in the team. Currently in the championship he is a player to look out as he is looking good tied at the 7th spot at the 36th hole in the game. He has a great chance in the game and a week’s good performance will surely make him the favourites for winning the title. The good news for Mickelson is that during the PGA week the Ryder cup points are doubled and hence it will give him a better chance of making it to the top 9 players from US. Looking at the current form he is looking that he has saved the best of his form for the last part of the year which will bring him much awaited glory. On performing better in the upcoming week he will not only make his work simple but even he will be helping his captain in taking the liberty of making his decision of selecting the last 3 players for the Ryder cup.
