Dustin Johnson salutes Europe

Dustin Johnson is still very upset with the way US team lost the Ryder Cup to Europe. He conceded that

it was really difficult for him to accept the defeat as US was ahead of Europe till the last day. He failed to understand what went wrong for them on the ending day of the 2012 Ryder Cup.

When asked how he felt after the miserable loss, he only concluded saying that it was a nightmare for the team as well as for him. He also tells that he never wants to be in the losing side. But apart from the loss, Dustin Johnson is happy with the way the Ryder Cup has gone and he is contended with his performance, too. He enjoyed it thoroughly and didn’t forget to congratulate the European Team.

According to Johnson the European team completely outclassed them on the very last day. Otherwise it would have been impossible to lose with a 10-6 lead while going into the last day. Incidentally, Johnson, Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson are the only three American golfers who won their individual matches on the last day. Johnson didn’t blame anyone for the defeat as he said that it was really wonderful to play under the captainship of Davis Love III. He is satisfied with his team’s performance, too. He asserted that nobody has fallen victim to the pressure situation and all of them has given their best. It was just a bad day, as he takes it.

Dustin Johnson is now hoping for the best as the US team will be taking on the European team a couple of years later at Gleneagles. He said that perhaps they would be victorious next time.  The only thing went missing at the Ryder Cup, according to Johnson, was the chance factor. Having been a part of such a wonderful team along with a nice captain it can only be deduced that this time it was not meant for them, he concluded.
