All about Phil Mickelson

Born, Phillip Alfred Mickelson, on the 16th of June, 1970, San Diego, California. His father, Phil Mickelson Sr. was an airline pilot. Phil Mickelson began playing golf under his father’s instruction even before starting school. He played golf throughout school and college; he graduated from the University of San Diego High school in 1988. Phil Mickelson attended Arizona State University on a Golf Scholarship. He won 3 NCAA championships and 3 Haskins Awards (1190. 1991, 1992). He became a regular face in amateur golf. He won his first PGA Tour Open (the Northern Telecom Open, Tuscon) in 1991, when he was just 20 years old.

Now Phil Mickelson is a professional golfer, representing America. Phil Mickelson has won four major championships (2004 Masters, 2005 PGA Championship, 2006 Masters Tournament and the 2010 Masters Tournament) and a whooping 41 events on the PGA tour. He was included in the World Golf Hall of Fame in May 2012. His first 3 major wins are dated between 2004 and 2006; the 2004 Masters Tournament, the 2005 PGA Championship and the 2006 Masters Tournament. He also has 7 European Tour wins that include the 2004 Masters Tounament, the 2005 PGA Championship, the 2006 Masters tournament, the 2007 (2008 season) HSBC Championships, the 2009 WGC-CA Championship, the 2009 WGC-CA Champions and the 2010 Masters Tournament.

In 2011 he started his season at the Farmer’s Insurance Open at the Torrey Price Gold Course. He tied for the 54th hole with Ball Haas. Mikelson saw victory in the Shell Houston Open, on 13 April. He managed to rise to the 3rd position in the world rankings. Phil Mickelson finished third at the 2012 Masters Tournament due to his poor start in the fourth round. He finished tied for the 25th at the Players Championship later that year, tied for 43rd at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and tied for 36th at the PGA Championship. Phil Mickelson opened the 2013 season by playing the Humana challenge in January and finishing T37 at 17.
